In order to maintain a safe environment for patients during the COVID-19 virus epidemic, the following office policies are in place (subject to change with emerging information as the situation continues to evolve):
- everyone who enters the office is required to wear a mask and their temperature will be taken by touchless thermometer
- patients are pre-screened before making an appointment, if COVID is suspected they are consulted with by phone/telemedicine or are referred to other medical facility as appropriate
- both in-person and remote (phone, Zoom) appointments are available
- patient appointments are staggered to moderate office flow/congestion
- other visitors are not allowed unless medically required by patients
- patient forms are available by email
- hand sanitizer is available to patients
- touchless payment is available
- office seating has been changed to maintain a 6-foot distance to adhere to social distancing guidelines
- communal items that are commonly touched (such as pens and clip boards) have been removed from the waiting area
- seating and medical equipment is sanitized between each patient
- common surfaces such as counters and door knobs are sanitized regularly
- office is aerated with outside air by window when weather permits
- office staff is using personal protective equipment (PPE) and handwashing/sanitizer
